Hi everybody it's me, Ivy. It's been awhile since my mom posted any pictures of me so I had to take matters into my own paws and get the tennis ball rolling. It's been a good summer so far and I've been swimming and playing outside a lot! Sometimes it's too hot here in Illinois to stay out long so I'll run outside for a few minutes, come back in and then ring the bell to go out again a few minutes later. My mom is pretty good about letting me go out as much as I like so I think I've trained her well. Even though she says she's the boss, I know who the real boss is (but don't tell her I said that).
I must admit, I live a pretty good dogs life and I'm very lucky to have my family to take care of me. As my mom always says to me "Ivy, I have no words..."and things like "I just can't explain it" which I know means that she can't express in words, how much she loves me. I feel the same way about my mom and family too and I do my best to get my licks in everyday so they know just how much.
I'm not aways an angel but I do my best to be well behaved and stay out of trouble. My favorite thing in the world to do is make people laugh. I have a really good sense of humor and I'm very funny. I love having company over to the house but love even more taking trips out into the world to meet new people and see new things. It's really hard on me when people don't notice me or stop to say hello and pet me, but I'll never stop trying to get their attention. I'm a stinker that way, but it's what I do.
After a long day of playing and having fun, I like nothing more than to stretch out on the couch with my feet up. When I play hard, I sleep hard too. My mom says I sometimes snore but I really don't believe her. When I'm not all stretched out on the couch, my next favorite thing is to be all curled up under the fuzzy blankets. My mom calls this my "puppy nest" and I must say, I like the way that sounds. It makes me feel all cozy and safe. Is that so wrong?
I guess it's time for me to say good night for now. I've got some really good dreams just waiting for me to catch up with them so I'd better get going. Woo, woo, woo to you. I promise to write again soon and let you know what I've been up to. Sweet dreams for now.
